The Golf School will be closed for public holidays on the dates below. If you are scheduled to start a course on one of these dates, your course will actually start on the next day that TGS is open. Driving range access is available on these public holidays to students enrolled in any program except on Christmas day.

• New Year's Day (Public holiday):  1 January
• Australia Day: 26 January
• Good Friday: Friday 2 April
• Easter Saturday: Saturday 3 April
• Easter Monday: Monday 5 April
• Anzac Day: Sunday 25 April
• Labor Day:
• Queens Birthday;
• Gold Coast Show:
• Christmas Day:  25 December
• Boxing Day:  26 December

There are strict State liquor restrictions on Good Friday. There is no trading on Christmas Day.

TGS HOLIDAYS

For students enrolled in the The Golf Schools Certificate II program, it is delivered fulltime over a period of 40 weeks. Semester 1 is 20 weeks followed by a 3 week holiday and Semester 2 is 20 weeks. This course can be commenced in January and July.

For all other students enrolled in either the Golf Training or Golf & English Programs, the academic year also has two 20 week semesters. Three weeks holidays may be taken after each semester.

Free access to the driving range during holiday period is not provided. However, students may purchase from the TGS office a discounted range card

Special Leave
Students may apply in writing to the CEO requesting special leave. This is only for bereavement, health or exceptional reasons and will be reviewed on an individual basis. Fees must be up-to-date prior to special leave being granted and attendance must also be satisfactory.When special leave is granted, TGS cannot guarantee you will complete in the set time. Your course and or student visa may need to be extended.
